Devlog 11: The END of Gregg
Hello, Hello, Hello and welcome this time to our last devlog. As all great things, even the development process of our game must come to an end. The day is today and Grapple it out is ready to be enjoyed by all.
ART
In art this week we have mainly concentrated on finishing and polishing up everything we started. We also took great effort in preparing our game for its final presentation.
We have also prepared an amazing trailer for you and we really hope that it will get you hooked up quite literally. Just check it out!!!
Programming
This week we worked a lot on trying to make player 0 respawn again after pressing the restart button but sadly We couldn't find what the problem was. I also made it so when multiple players have the same amount of points there is a Showdown. This means that all players that have the same amount of points fight each other until 1 dies. We linked the ripple effect when a character dies.
Next we linked walking puffs behind the character when it walks on the ground.
We linked one of the found dash sounds and made the timing on it coincide with the dash itself.
Furthermore I increased the player knockback and added recoil to the puncher. This way the players don't get grouped up as much.
We have also linked the beam effect to pickups, so it's clearer when one spawns and implemented the death animation of the characters.
So in the end we would just like to thank you for all the support and feedback we received and we sincerely hoped that you will enjoy playing our game as we enjoyed making it.
Good luck, have fun and see you on our next project.
