Devlog 03: The End of Prototyping



This week was all about wrapping things up.

ART

In the art department we've concentrated the majority of our power on getting our ArtBible 100% finished. There were a few setbacks here and there but in the end everything worked out just fine.

 

On top of that we've also made a few concepts for our vfx and more tests with our shaders. We've also tested out a 3D scene as a background with the platforms in front.

Last but not least, a few last tasks were added into our hacknplan.

Coding

 

This we've week we've worked on making the grapple a snappy grapple 

instead of a swing to add a bit more speed into the gameplay.

we've a timeline for this meaning we can change how fast it travels and how long the first delay is on the fly.

we're  still not sure if this is better than the swing we had previously, but it feels faster.

A bug with player respawning after the new player join system was fixed.

Also the game can be played with up to 4  players now !!!  

Last but not least, I spent a few hours getting our hacknplan in order
