Devlog 06: End of Sprint 1



 Hello, and welcome back to our devlog ! As you may have by this weeks title, we are coming to an end of our first sprint. 

ART

Character Animations

So in animation this week we thought greg several new animation cycles. Now he is not only able to walk and stand but mainly he can jump, punch and swing on the grapple.

We have also implemented flipbook so that Greg can start moving in the game !




VFX

we have done some reworks on the vfx front too, we've also added some brand new effects for character landing and fire.


Level

In the level itself we have alos made multiple improvements.  We added  and altered multiple new props to the environment. Made the rock border. Tested out multiple lighting setups and implemented the shaders.



Programming

Fixes

This week in the programming section we have fixed the respawn player function because when it was called the game crashed. what as you can imagine was quite frustrating.

Power ups

We have also started working on power-ups,So far they are still in diapers. A system to spawn power-ups was made that makes it possible for the player to pickup 1 power-up.

Mechanic

We have also implemented our grapple, hitting,blocking and teleporting mechanics, including the damage scaling mechanic where the damage dealt is scaled by velocity.

Also linked most of the vfx and animations to their corresponding actions!
